Title: briefing question.
Post by: Dutchboy on September 15, 2008, 06:19:10 PM
Can someone tell me where I can find where it says the safety officer does not have to give the monthly safety briefing, Just has to make sure it is planned , documented, signed for.

It used to be that way or has that changed?

CAPR 62-1 states that the Safety Officer develop a program in Section 3, but doesn't state who has to give it.

CAPP 217 states that the Safety Officer has to give six such briefings to achieve a Technician rating.

But, other that those six briefings, I don't see where the Safety Officer has to give the briefings himself.  He just has to ensure they occur.

Check the wing safety supplement.  Most have the monthly requirements listed there specifically.
