Title: Google Workspace for Non-Profits???
Post by: audiododd on January 27, 2022, 09:53:41 PM
I'm one of the admins for our google workspace account that has our squadron email addresses and google drive, etc.

If you use Google Workspace, you'll know that the free version (which we've had for years - long before my membership), is going away and will now be a paid subscription (per user, per month).  I see there is a Google Workspace for Non-Profits that is free (or reduced cost, depending on your eligibility).  Has anyone used it for their squadron domains?  How did you verify your status and did you end up getting the free version or are you paying a reduced rate?

Thanks,

Dozens if not more units use it, not to mention Wings and NHQ, going back to the mid 2000's.

You send them the 501c(3) docs, they come back and say you're a gov'mint agency and
not eligible, you come back and explain what CAP is...

done...

Did it several times, no issues. Might have even had one or two go through without the
second lap. Though not applicable in this kind of use case.

Looks like Google may be back-pedaling on the "pay or get out" stance:

Microsoft has similar offerings that would cover most units, even Groups,
but not wings:
