The Adventures of Smilin' Kach and Sparky

This will be the Thread for the new Comic Book Series for CAP Talk based on the fictional Adventures of Smilin' Kach.  I'll make regular Weekly Posts on this thread.  Come by often to see the Adventure unfold.

Smilin' Kach takes place in the future and the past at the same time.  Don't look for "uniform violations," "CAP Policy SNAFUS" and the like because it is "made up"...you know, fictional.  You might want to look for some of the things you have submitted on CAPTALK and CIVIL AIR PORTAL over the years.   I'll try to put them in...

I've got another reason to laugh... he's wearing solo wings and CAP pilot wings.  Aren't you supposed to wear only one?  (Of course, he is the National Vice Commander).

But seriously, that's a cool cartoon, sir.  Wish I had those kind of skills.

Well, I'm gonna try to put up two panels a week.  Also, as a treat, "SMILIN' KACH" is now being written by Smilin' Kach himself.  I take liberties with the artwork and adjust the script a bit to fit the artwork...but 97% of this will be John KACH himself!!!

Next installment will come out SUNDAY or Saturday!!!

We can leave that open for specualtion...but as the intent goes.  These could be "Mission Scanner" Wings or "CAP Officer's Solo Wings."  I would go with the first one before the other.

The "USE CIVIL AIR PATROL" is a blatant commentary on "Corporate Missions," the "Five Bladed Prop" is the "Civil Flight Club" moniker.  The Other "WINGS" are "AUX on, Aux off" inspired.

Modern day comicbooks are now made from cover to cover of the cover.  Rememeber how comicbooks were a high gloss cover with newsprint as the body.  Now comics are totally high gloss.

It seems this is a "good natured" rib based on some discussion Kach had here.

Here is the "raw cut" that Kach sends me...

Scene:  Smilin' Kach and Sparky arrive in Arkansas tracking down counterfeit U.S. CivilAir Patrol nametapes...  The Wing HQ is a trailer, beat up, probably FEMA surplus.  There is a CAP pickup truck on the side of the trailer, with no wheels and supported by concrete blocks.  A sleepy hound dog is tied to the door handle of the truck.  They are met by an old man.

Old Man:  Welcome to Arkansas, Gentlemen.

I should also add that this is also a play on the memo that said that FEMA trailers were too small to be used as HQ's.  The Arkansas Wing of the "Smilin' Kach" universe actaully is proving that it can be done.

Be warned...it gets much WORSE!!!!

And when you get around to pickin' on Oklahoma, remember that we do, for the most part, have indoor plumbing, don't all have to take the wheat straw out of our teeth before we can finish a sentence, we don't all marry first cousins, we do wear shoes, even when out of uniform, we don't all live in trailers, or go to tractor-pulls, demolition derbies, or WWE events, and I've *never* had livestock on my premises. OK??

When we get around to Oklahoma, the teasing will involve tornadoes.  Although my roommate at Camp Pendleton told me some wild stories of OK having (in 1968) two separate drinking ages for men and women, and a discussion in the Shawnee City Council if approving a jukebox for a Pizza Hut would create a rise in teen pregnancies due to the constand exposure to rock and roll music.
