In order to complete Level III (Lt to Capt) one has to attend 2 major conferences. First, what constitutes a major conference and can the same conference be attended for consecutive years?

Thx

Generally anything Wing-level or higher, including some AE and ES conferences, as well as virtual ones.
These days whoever is putting it on will usually indicate if it counts towards PD ET.

And yes, you go to the same one every year.

Conferences accomplish two functions - education and networking. They allow members to attend sessions on the various staff and ES areas, and get a better understanding of how to function in their positions.

The networking (social) aspect allows members to get to know folks from all over their wing, and even meet regional and national officials. I have met two or three national commanders at CAWG conferences.

Region Conference qualifies too.

And of course, the National Conference. You can meet folks from all over the country.
