Before flying a search pattern, what information do you need from the IC before flying the mission and pattern?

Are you a MP?

Its a long list, to be divided up and overlap between you and the MO and MS:

What are you looking for? Lost person, downed plane?
What area is to be searched on your sortie? Coords, etc.
What type of search pattern should you fly?
A weather briefing is always nice.
A safety and sortie plan meeting with your MO and MS would be a good thing.
