Usually about two weeks or less. It all depends on what the AF has in stock at the time of application.

Sometimes it can take much longer.

Well, I just recieved a e-mail from them saying it might take 12-15 weeks.

Again, it all depends on what the AF has in stock. It's unfortunate that it will take that long, and I hope that your commander will either give you something to use until you get it, or understand that you have a valid reason for not being in uniform. Reason with him/her. Just be patient. You never know when you'll get a package from the AF.

We're also at the end of the fiscal year and there may be no funds left.

Regardless, 12-15 weeks seems a little long.

Captain, you've shown quite a bit of us up. I was never offered a service coat, and was told that I had to purchase one of my own. Even though there were more than enough to service the group.

"Air Force" blues ("service uniform")...but no shoes.

Yeah, I figured that out.  Also, nameplate, belt, etc, etc, etc.
Where is a good place to get "high gloss" (that is what it said to get  ;))shoes?

Nameplate, belt, and other CAP-specific insignia: Vanguard or The Hock Shop.

Shoes: I strongly recommend regular shine 'em up low quarters - one's gotta learn to shine shoes and boots! An army-navy store is an OK place to find them but you're taking a gamble with the quality; some used (and even new) shoes and boots may be cheap but eventually they'll fall apart. High-gloss poromeric ('corfams') and patent leather scratch easy and are a pain to maintain.

That's typical. I think you can send it to someone and exchange it. Does your squadron have your size? You can try to trade them.
