Get used to how other people do things.

If it's not illegal, immoral, unethical, or if it's against regs, in the words of Lt. Col. Panzera, "Shut up and color."

Different people have different ways of going about things. Accept that and move on, and maybe learn a thing or two along the way.

Something I learned real fast is don't ever say "But at my Squadron we do it X way!"

Not smart at all, lol.
Why not?

I spend a lot of time after encampment retraining my cadets who all the time say "But at encampment we do it Y way".

How about if X and Y don't seem to match.....you look in the bloody regulation and make sure which way is correct.

Sorry to dump on you.....but like I said.....just because they do it an encampment....does not mean it is right.

It wasn't smart because little ole 12 year old me got chewed out back in 2010. Little ole 12 year old me wasn't prepared for that and cried.

I know better now that the regs trump everything else.
