Summer Weight BDUs

I got a pair of BDUs out of my squadron's supply closet. They are summer weight. The strange thing is, they are extremely stiff. I don't think it's been over-starched or anything like that. It feels like the stiffness is in the fabric.

Is there anyway to soften the uniform?

Wash them

Thank you. I have washed them about 4 or 5 times now.

It's going to take a few washes for them to soften up.  Are you washing with everything on them?

Use some light starch and starch them, and then wash them. I do that to all of my stiff uniforms and they come out temperpedic soft.

Wear them.

Repeat as necessary.
