Happy Birthday CAP, We have completed 69 years of service and contribution to the citizens of the United States. I know that NHQ and many of the Historical folks have things planned for the upcoming year.

Congrats to Jim!

Congrats to us!

Last night one of my units, Palwaukee Squadron, had their annual CAP B-Day party and the unit CC did a historical presentation.  We have docs and pics that substantiate the unit going to Feb or Mar 1942, which would mean that while they might not be the oldest, they are in the batch of founders near the top.

Imagine the spirit - the world embroiled in a war against tyranny, military service considered a responsibility of citizenship for most able men, and you stuck on the sidelines (for whatever reason), and then someone offers you a chance to serve at home...

Congratulations on your promotion, Jim!  I knew you'd get it as fast as possible, my friend!

And many happy returns to Civil Air Patrol!  Long may we fly!
