Hi Everyone,
The Maryland Wing web site was redesigned and relaunched in September of 2005. The address is http://mdcap.org/ (http://mdcap.org/).
I don't know what I was thinking, but I completely neglected to announce it here. :-[
Anyway, I wanted to take the opportunity to thank everyone who helped bring it together. More information about the site and those that made it happen can be found at:
http://mdcap.org/index.cfm?fuseaction=home.colophon (http://mdcap.org/index.cfm?fuseaction=home.colophon).

Hey Christian,
The website looks great. The podcast is pretty good external PA, but if you listen to them all it seems a little repetitive. At least for a CAP member like me. I'm sure it's a decent radio program to reach out to your local audience though.
Dang, I might have to include Maryland in my future assignment consideration. Why not, I'm already going to school there... ;)
MDWG has the finest Wing website out there.
Again, great work, Maj. Ready
Wow, you rolled your own CMS for the site? Sweet!
It looks great, nice job.

That is one brilliant website....
Awesome CAP website! Unlike so many other websites out there, this one actually has a lot of real content, as well as having a very nice, aesthetic design!
Great work! ;)
Wow, thanks, everyone! I really appreciate the props, especially from my fellow geeks in blue.
Of course, there's more I want to do with it if only the paying jobs would just get out of my way (but keep on paying, of course ;D). As visitors to the site, if there's anything that isn't working out right, please let me know. Likewise, suggestions for ways to improve the site are always welcome.
ahh!!! The google map thing is awesome!! How'd you do that??
Google maps opened their API as a web service which can be tapped into on any web site. Very clever of those folks.
Anyway, you can find out information on the API at http://www.google.com/apis/maps/ (http://www.google.com/apis/maps/).
An example of the Google map mashup on the MD Wing web site can be found at http://mdcap.org/index.cfm?fuseaction=unit.view&unitID=8 (http://mdcap.org/index.cfm?fuseaction=unit.view&unitID=8).
If you really want to see some excellent implementations of Google Maps in action, check out the Google Maps Mainia! blog at http://googlemapsmania.blogspot.com/ (http://googlemapsmania.blogspot.com/).
EXCELLENT website. You must do this kind of thing for a living; I recognize the trademark. ;)

I'd definitely say that the good Major does do this for a living: http://christianready.com/
;)
Yeah see, I knew I wasn't off in left field when I took a stab at that. :)
