Title: Promotion Boards
Post by: sneakers on May 26, 2011, 12:53:56 AM
My squadron requires promotion boards for every advancement in grade. These are somewhat intense.

I was just wondering how many other squadrons out there require promotion boards, and if so, are they required for every rank, or only major achievements? Also, if so, how hard are they?

My squadron requires them all the way up to C/2dLt

They get harder and harder each rank for us

Every single promotion in my squadron. They consist of a uniform inspection, questions are asked regarding leadership topics not necessarily discussed in the chapter, and some memory work (things you have to memorize). The memory work gets tougher each achievement. Also any previous memory work can and does come up. But I think after Achievement 5 there isn't any new memory work.
