Don't care for too many teams except for the Nebraska Cornhuskers.

And besides... aren't you deep in enemy territiry, Aaron?  ;D (Don't feel bad, I'm operating deep behind enemy lines subverting the Shorthorns every chance I get!  ;D)

I know, I know; but I still consider myself a Nebraskan. I have also lived in Iowa and West Virginia.  It just happens be where I live. ;D

Off topic question sparked by hte flags in the colgan shot...

I know AF has blue for Officer Flags and the Army Red. But what about the others?

Second question: Is it just General Officers/Admirals or do Bird Colonels/Captains get a flag too?

I don't think there is a topic...that's the point.    :)

I think it's just generals and admirals who get their own flag.

P.S.
If those pictures ever surface of me with General Bowling's flag after some capture-the-flag action, it sooo wasn't me.   ;)

Yes they get a flag.  On their car if they wanted.  It has been replaced with the little rank sticker next to the DoD Car Decals though.  You may see some front license plates with the bird on it as well.

Right, this is to be a fun thread, with no specific topic- however, if a topic that seems to be being beaten to death, I may ask you to drop it.  This thread has gotten quite far, and I would be very unhappy if it got locked.  but have fun and enjoy.

AF and Navy have blue GO/FO flags.  Army and Marines use red ones.

Technically, no - they don't rate a flag.  Hence why the Navy calls Admirals "Flag Officers".  However, you will see silver birds on blue or red plates on vehicles of O-6's.

Sooo, how you doin'. . .
You look pretty cute.  Are you busy later?
. . . .
No?  Great. Would you be interested in a bite to eat?
. . . .
Sure I know a great place to go, and it's just down the road
. . . .
Oh, just the usual hamburgers, ice cream, shakes, you know the usual.
. . . .
Don't worry.  They're open 24hrs.
. . . .
They also serve a great breakfast.
. . . .
Coffee's pretty good too.  Better than Starbucks, at half the price.
. . . .
No, I'm not kidding.
. . . .
They just opened a few days ago.
. . . .
Well, I know of a really wonderful wildlife refuge near bye that we could check out.  I've been wanting to do that for a while, but I have never really had the chance to do it.  Would you like to go?
. . . .
I hoped you would say so.
. . . .
Just a note, there might be ticks if we wander too far.
. . . .
Yes, ticks, but I would be glad to help check you for them, you never know where they might reach. . . .

"I'd Like to check you for ticks?" Good Song

I'll admit that I was bored.  I got on a roll, and that seemed to fit in nicely.  Note, this was not a real conversation.  Wish it was, but its not.
