At my squadron we have both Alpha and Bravo flights. I'm looking for names for them, any ideas?
C/SSgt Pears
How about "Alpha Flight" and "Bravo Flight" ..?
Why would you need different names for them?
If you are looking for some team building esprit de corps........just task the flight to pick a name.
If you're looking for something like encampment go with things like Mitchell Flight, Maverick Flight, Eagle Flight, Talon Flight, etc.

If I recall correctly, which I usually do, at my basic encampment we were the Bravo Blitzkrieg. But I have to agree that the names themselves should come from within the flight and not be imposed on the flight.
Alpha Administrators
Bravo Bank Representatives
Charlie Civil Servants
Delta Devil Dog Walkers
Echo Entry Level Educators
Foxtrot Fabrication Engineers
Golf Carts (some of these write themselves)
Hotel Managers (or Desk Clerk)

Brave Bravo.
Google "minor league hockey mascots". If you cant find a winner there, you wont find one anywhere.
Bravo flight Battle Toads.
When I first joined, this was the name for Bravo. They had a Kermit the Frog dressed in the Marine dress uniform.
Pretty cool stuff.

Yes, Kermit...
The flight commander that came up with the name is a Marine Corps "freak". If you will? Kermit was a kewl mascot for some time in the squadron.
He is now a Staff Sergeant in the Corps. The name lasted for about two years after he left, but is now just a nice memory in the minds of members that were in at that time.
He passed down the frog to the new flight commander, and I just confirmed that he still has it (he's in the office next to me).
Is this something you've discussed with your chain of command? .

Hey man.....DADT. :)
How about Astrild the norse goddess of love, and Balder the norse god of beauty
Norse mythology naming schemes own.
Too bad squadrons stop at 4 or 5 flights...there would be beaucoup names for anything past Echo or Foxtrot.

Sir, the highest ranking/grade cadet (in my squadron) is a TSgt, and im getting promoted to TSgt on Tues. I am basically the chain of command, other than SM, sir.
Well, then, you should be talking to one of those senior members. They are the continuation of the CoC above the cadet portion.

Pretty sure Delta Force is taken and the boys out at Ft. Bragg may not be too happy about a CAP Flight being called Delta Force.. :)

But then they didn't seem to mind the obvious Gears of War (video game) tie in so who knows.
Delta Bags....think it through...
sorry :-[
At my Squadron I am Bravo flight commander. Personally, I think team names are a fantastic idea because they build a sense of loyalty to them team. Our team name is the Bravo Blackhawks
We recently formed Bravo Flight and for motivation we call ourselves the Bravo Flight Blackhawks with the phrase "Making the Best Better". Just ask your Flight Sargent to get the flight together and discuss it.
Delta Airlines...?
