What the heck are these for?

These things are "novelty small", they would not fit on any epaulet I've ever seen.

BITD there were female and male versions of grade sleeves, but one of my people received
these from VG the other day. Beyond generating some return postage revenue where do they
think these will fit?

Do the edges attach to each other with Velcro? Could they be for the AF coats?

VG produces AF grade slides. Why did they not use the specs from those?  Common sense not need apply?

Because... they are the USAF and we are CAP. It may cost them more to make our insignia if they apply the same standards. They are a different material.

Bottom line... It was CAP that should have said "Use the same materials and specs as the USAF." Then the problem would have been limited to what shade of gray to use!

They actually did for a little while. When the slides are the same spec as the AD AF it won't fit our Dress Uniform jacket nor would it fit most of the White aviator shirts.
