Title: Semiformal uniform for Senior Member NCO's
Post by: Hawk200 on February 14, 2007, 08:29:58 PM
Looking through 39-1, and the "Cadets Only" note to the semiformal uniform caught my eye. How many people think that CAP should mirror the Air Force in wear policy for semiformal for NCO's?

Any Air Force member is permitted to wear the Mess Dress, but it's required for officers. NCO's and airmen can wear semiformal, so should our enlisted side have the same option?

Let's try to avoid argumentitive posts here. Explain why you voted the way you did, and don't be disputing someone's opinion just because it doesn't match your own. Put your own reasoning down, and don't worry about what anyone else posts.

There are really too few NCOs to get in a big uproar about it. They don't seem to care.

I don't know what the USAF procedure is on this, but we should mirror them.

Put simply:

Airmen and NCOs = can wear semiformal uniform or mess dress.
Officers = mess dress only. Formal dress (white tie and tails) on very rare occasions.
