2nd Lt. Jeffrey S. Hagglund
Wheeling Composite Squadron
West Virginia Wing

Jeffrey Scott Hagglund was born to Larry Hagglund and Christy Hagglund-Groce on January 8, 1981. He was the youngest of three brothers.

Jeff's early years were spent in North Seattle, where he graduated from Nathan Hale HS. He developed a love for photography and golf and inherited his siblings' paper route.

Jeff began his driving career after high school, driving shuttle buses, Gray Line buses, 18-wheelers, and everything in between. He started at Burlington Northern Santa Fe Railway as a conductor and retired as an engineer after 15 years.

Jeff married Holly Greene in 2014. They set up house in Marysville, WA, eventually moving to Stanwood, WA, where they began to raise their boys, Noah and Jacob. The family moved to Dickson, Tennessee, in January 2023. They enjoyed backyard baseball and campfires, travelling, and adventures with their dog Maverick.

Jeff was always trying something new and had a long list of hobbies. He loved flying planes and earned his private pilot's license. He also enjoyed drones, photography, shooting, scuba diving, and local sports. He served on his HOA Board, in the Civil Air Patrol, Little League, was a church denominational delegate, and youth group leader. Jeff worshipped at Parkers Creek Baptist Church, Warm Beach Free Methodist Church, Cedarhome Baptist Church, Marysville FMC, and Lakeview FMC.

Jeff had friends all over the country. He was intentional about his relationships and made a point to connect with people any way he could. Jeff was an incredible son, brother, cousin and uncle, and a devoted and loving husband and father.

Jeff experienced sickness most of his life, and the family often joked that he should have a room with his name on it at the hospital. His outlook on life is a testament to the hope he had in Jesus. Jeff passed away in the same manner he lived, with enormous courage, focus, and determination in the face of overwhelming odds. Jeff went home to be with his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on February 15, 2024, at Alive Hospice in Nashville, Tennessee. If there is something to be driven in heaven, or a story to be told, you will find him there.
