Question;

May a cadet captain, with a rating as an MRO, and has earned the CAP communications badge be issued a radio?

Thank you.

Do you mean "Here, use this today?" or issued it in ORMS?

"That Others May Zoom"

What type? VHF Handheld? VHF Mobile? ISR?

If VHF Handheld, is the cadet a GTL? Also, consult the Table of Allowances to see under what rule the cadet can qualify.

The process is the same as with a senior, with the addition the cadet's parent must sign the CAPF 37 - if the cadet is under 18. The CAPF 37 needs to be retained and filed until the radio is returned OR the cadet turns 18.

Thank you.

Yes, this would be an issue of a vhf base station in ORMS.

In what capacity would this cadet be utilizing this radio? "Qualified to operate" vs "Need to have" are two separate things. Granted I'm just going off NHQ's ToA.
