Title: Shocking aerial photos show impact of fire which ripped across Simonside

Aerial footage, captured by a volunteer pilot for the Civil Air Patrol conducting a solo maintenance flight, shows how flames left a dark patch over the landscape.

Pilot Storm Smith, who took the photos, described the damage as "an enormous black scar across the top of the hill."

(Interesting that our Brit counterparts are running the same maintenance scheduled flights we are.)

The same? Not exactly considering it's a privately owned aircraft.

UK "Civial" Patrol doesn't own any planes.

Really? Who knew? And we have always had corporate aircraft, right? Thanks for the play old boy, you are droll, in a very not-British way, of course.
