Surplus uniforms

Just a reminder, this is the time to check with University/College ASFROTC and high school AFJROTC for their surplus used uniforms. This is the time when their cadets have returned everythinbg and many drop out of the ROTC programs so the uniforms are available to CAP. According to Holm Center the surplus uniformss can only go to CAP or DRMO.

Great tip, Bill.  Any chance you know of a reference from the Holm Center stating that?  Would be helpful to have a pub, reg, letter, or other proof of "eligibility" to receive ROTC uniforms directly from units.

Actually one year a AFJROTC unit called me as the Squadron Commander and asked if I was interested. I said yes and went and got them. Appareently the closer CAP units do not answer their telephone and/or return calls from their voice mail.

Just an update. I got a call from AFJROTC that they had surplus uniforms. I picked up three large boxes (30x30x30) two appear to be shoes and the third is blues.
