Title: The CAP iOS Thread
Post by: JoeTomasone on December 10, 2010, 02:20:16 AM
Using an iOS device (iPod, iPhone, iPad) for CAP?   If so, how?

I'm using my iPhone/iPad in a variety of ways:

1. Goodreader has all of the manuals/pamphlets - handy for referencing, and since it can search, a big help.

2. Goodreader also has all of my certificates and other proof of qualifications, etc, in case it's ever a question.

3. I use the iPhone during UDF missions to record mission data, research tail numbers (to ID the owner), look up airport information (like the after hours contact data), and to plot newly received lat/longs.   I can also locate nearby gas stations and nearby sources of caffeine and glucose.   :)

4. The compass and inclination meter utilities also come in handy for various field exercises.

5. Various weather apps also come into handy.

6. AeroWeather is handy to get flight weather data.

Anybody have other innovative uses for their iDevice?
