C/Col Erin Elizabeth Green-Mautone
California Wing

Erin Elizabeth Green-Mautone, 46, Matthews, N.C., known by her husband, John as Honey, passed away on Tuesday, October 19, 2021 at Novant Main. Erin was born on May 11, 1975 in Pasadena, California to mother Karen Hinkel and father James Green, who was awaiting her arrival in Heaven.

During her younger years, while living in Pasadena, Erin was proud to be Snow White at Disneyland in Anaheim. Her beautiful smile, vivacious personality and love for life made her the perfect lady for this character. She went on to obtain a Bachelor's Degree at Gonzaga University and then went on to begin her career in Finance at Citi. Erin was extremely motivated, worked hard, and it was apparent at her jobs at Wells Fargo, JP Morgan and where she last worked as Managing Director at Accenture. Travelling with her jobs was exciting for Erin and she visited many beautiful places.

Erin was married to the love of her life, John Mautone, for 12 wonderfully fun-filled years. Together they have two loving sons, Aidan 11 years and Dylan 9 years. As a family, they loved the beach where they found solice and peace, sailing, horseback riding and skiing were some of her favorite pastimes. She enjoyed, most of all, watching Aidan and Dylan play baseball with their friends. Erin never met a stranger and welcomed everyone she met to experience her zest for life. Erin was blessed to live in a great neighborhood, surrounded by many friends where socializing and sharing life was important. The "family" of students and teachers at The Latin school also have become treasured friends. Her family will remember her as an amazing wife and friend and loving mother.

In addition to her husband, John and sons Aidan and Dylan, and her mother Karen, Erin is survived by her brother Darryl Hast and several brothers and sisters in law. Her cats Murphy and Bailey and dog Teddy will miss all the loving given to them by Erin. Many extended family and friends will cherish always the memories that had with Erin.
