One of the performance requirements is to list 10 necessary items for a new cadet squadron. Really?? That is way too much. And I don't want to be one of those people who list every tiny item (i.e 1. work gloves, 2. safety goggles. I just put them under safety supplies). Any items or tips for the SDA, in general, would be appreciated.

Does your squadron has a Logistics Officer? If not, maybe a Safety Officer or a Cadet Programs Officer.

Did you talk to either?

Any could have been your primary sources of information

10 is a very short list compared to the number of things actually needed (or nice to have).

Complaining on the internet that you don't like a very realistic task and thought exercise is not a good quality for a cadet officer.

As a cadet officer, you should have more than a passing familiarity with the regs. One purpose of the SDAs is to help cadet officers understand what it takes to actually run a squadron.

Consider CAPR 20-3(I).

You contradict your own statements in two sentences. Impressive.

What is more impressive is that here most seniors say "admonish in private." Yet send messages like these.

I thought telling this cadet his statement was negative. Refrained from doing so. As I have been told "doing so in public is not cool."

Impressive. Do as I say, not as I do...

It's a cadet officer whining about a simple assignment...nothing to admonish in private.

Luis R. Ramos

Should not make any difference. From now on, I will stuck my tongue at anyone that says "admonish in private."

This will be my icon:

Shouldn't you be admonishing him in private?

Eclipse, he gave me the authority to admonish him publicly.

For you, Eclipse, I will not stick my tongue at you. I respect you too much.
