Title: LESA questions
Post by: YesMam on June 06, 2013, 03:23:55 AM
Ok, my daughters (newly minted C/2d Lt) are headed to LESA (Lone Star Emergency Services Academy) in two weeks....we've tried asking these questions of both the commander and the teachers and got no responses....would love any help from those who have been there (Big Sandy Texas):

Is there an electric plug in the cadet rooms?   They need to plug in an alarm clock, and recharge their laptop (the PAO course requires a laptop).

Is there a locker or storage for their clothing...and if so, do they need some kind of lock (other than the little TSA lock they'll have on their luggage)

Anyone know about laundry....do they need dollars or quarters?

Any "wish I'd known this before I got here" advice?

Thanks so much!

YesMam,

The rooms at LESA are what you typically find in a college dorm (that's what the buildings used to be), so yes, there are electric outlets, closets, etc. I can't answer the laundry question, since I've never had to wash any clothes there, but I suspect the machines will accept quarters.

Best of luck to your daughters at LESA!
