Im sorry, all politics aside, I really cant believe the Maj. Gen. ended his memo with "Lets Roll."

JC004

maybe the national board members were supposed to rise up and say mean things to the BoG?  I was a little confused about that part myself...

After meeting our esteemed Commander at the National Conf here in St Louis...yeah, I can believe it.

I hadn't thought of it...but the day AFTER the conf I ended up in the hospital for a week's stay thanks to diverticulitus.

A connection? <things that make you go Hmmmmmmm>

What did you expect him to use instead...something like, "Remember the Maine?"   :o ??? >:D

It just seemed a little tacky given the context that "Lets Roll" now has since 9/11.  I would hardly compare United Flight 93 with the National Commander being suspended.  He may have just said "We will not tire, we will not falter, we will not fail......"  Maybe even "Today is a day that will live in infamy"  Those are good ones too.

Your point is well taken and valid, Lt. Steht.  It is just that with all the stuff being aired on this board, it seems a little like "piling on" and the moderators asked us to stop.

Am I the only one bothered by this decidedly ethnic turn in this thread?

I'll dispense with the dopey diversity lectures and all, but can't one's ethnic group be the one thing we don't pick on here?

I'm not exactly sure how it relates to the failed rolling...   ::)

I agree, satire is one thing, but ethnic slurs are quite another.  We do have all sorts here, I consider those facts a bit too personal.  See a CAP Officer or Cadet when you look around our organization; not wheither one is Hispanic, Italian, Black, Jewish, Catholic or what not.
