Another masterpiece, Joe!

But... no cadets and dang few officers remember Jack Benny and his reputation for being a cheapskate.

I remember, though.  I even remember Rochester, his sarcastic servant!
Another former CAP officer

Can we try to keep these in one thread rather than recapping every couple of weeks?

If I could be allowed to "edit" the primary thread indefinately, that would help.  I had been merely "updating" the initial thread and adding the new panels as posts.  However, the main thread sort of locks to modification.

As a violinist, I have always held Jack Benny in high regard.  In our Mariachi band we intermix comedy sometimes and I try to use Benny as a model, among others.

We had to do that to prevent users from nuking their posts.  It doesn't stop you from adding a reply with the new comic though.  The other option would be to send the new content to an Admin or Mod to edit the original post, but I think just adding a reply with the new comic(s) is sufficient.

Understandable...there are lots of meshuggeners that come here from time to time.

QuoteThe other option would be to send the new content to an Admin or Mod to edit the original post,
This idea I like.  There is usually only one new set of panels a week.

Quotebut I think just adding a reply with the new comic(s) is sufficient.

Negative,  I'm sure you realize that the high number posts have this natural tendency to "get lost."  If I made an original post with the Comics, and it goes on to the 35th page...the lack of continuity would render the comics moot and ineffective.

I've seen posts that began on one subject morph into some other post to which an incredulous threadster replies..."go back an dread post #135 or 567 posts.  Didn't you read the post"  A thread only have a given useful life before it becomes too cumbersome to deal with.  Thus, once a "Smilin' Kach Thead goes on to page 3 with comments, it is not all that effective.  It makes little since for a person to read three pages of posts just to understand one panel.

Still, this is your forum and I playeth by your rules.  Command me!!!

In anycase, the story line will eventually end and the comics will make their way to cyber aether.

You owe me a new keyboard and monitor.

Really?  What struck you?  That way I can indicate something in the "memo" for the new Keyboard.

That has been, in my opinion, Kach's best line.  I knew it would get laughs!!!

In fact, that whole section on Vanguard would make a good "stand alone" segment.  Think I should submit it to the "CAP VOLUNTEER."

Absolutely.  It should go out to all the Corp.
