WMIRS sent the normal "you've been assigned message" - no issue.

I released two sorties yesterday through WMIRS, nothing exciting, and at the end it said "Flight successfully released!".
I received two email confirmations, but admit I took note they came through without reading them

Flights were uneventful, I went about my day.

This AM I received an email indicating that one of the sorties had, in fact, not been released and if I did it on a 99 (which I would never do),
please go and release it now.

Looking back at the emails, it appears that I, or the system released the same sortie twice, and not the second one.
Despite the obvious evidence to the contrary, I am reasonably sure I released both properly, since they had different
profiles and mission numbers (one was proficiency, one was a Form 5, same crew.

Anyway, this is both a "read and heed" and a question as to whether anyone else has seen anything similar.

Also, why does the system allow an FRO to release a sortie twice? (Other then the obvious "because".

If you're sure you did it right, you may want to raise a helpdesk ticket because that sounds like a pretty major bug feature bug.

And if not a bug, well...  Operator error.  Either bit of information is of great value.   ;)
