Title: Specailty Badges on Service Jacket
Post by: Walkman on November 26, 2017, 11:32:53 PM
While on chemo for the last 8-weeks, I've lost enough weight to be back in H/W for USAF style uniforms again (Yay! But cancer is not a healthy weight loss program). I'm going to start putting my Blues back together again, and have something I've always struggled with: getting the specialty track badges on the service jacket.

The seam on the front runs right through the center where the pins for the badges go. It's so think I always have trouble not just getting the pins in without bending them, but sometimes even getting the frogs on inside. Any tips for this?

I just punch them through then if anything is bent I use needle nose pliers to correct the bend in the pin. Be carful I've over corrected bends before and snapped off the pointy pin on the badge
