NHQ has issued an update to CAPR 123-3 (PDF), the regulation that guides unit inspections and self assessments.

Most notably, there is a new Attachment (last page of the regulation) that discusses how to setup an "assessment book", and provides more guidance on how to complete the annual self-assessment.

There have also been some slight changes in the vocabulary of inspections.  For instance, Observations are now called Areas of Concern, and Findings can now be in one of two categories depending on their impact on mission success.

The rating system has also been modified, replacing the five assessment ratings with just four: Highly Successful, Successful, Marginally Successful, and Unsatisfactory.

Just thought you'd like to know. :)

I glanced at that, but read it as "Compliance Inspections" - which are what are done at the Wing level only.

Does that include SUI's?

Yes, the terminology and grades are the same for CIs (Wing) and SUIs (Group/Squadron).
