Capt. Howard B. Hunt
Wing Headquarters Squadron
Ohio Wing

Howard B. Hunt, Jr., 75, of Cincinnati, Ohio, formerly of Louisville, Kentucky, died at VITAS Hospice Unit Drake Hospital in Cincinnati on March 8, 2022.

He was born in Louisville in 1946. As an infant, he was given the nickname "Judge" because his parents had met while attending Jefferson School of Law in Louisville and were both attorneys. Starting in his young adult years, Judge preferred to be called Howard or Howy.

Howard graduated from Aquinas Prep in Louisville in 1964 and attended Western Kentucky University in Bowling Green. He enlisted in the Army and was most proud of his military service during the Viet Nam war. After a tour of duty in Japan, he was discharged from the Army and served in the Army Reserves. He worked as a copy machine repair person in the greater Cincinnati area until his retirement. Howard enjoyed being involved in the Monix ham radio community of Ohio over many years. He will be remembered as a kind-hearted soul, a bright and generous person.

Howard was preceded in death by his parents Howard Browning Hunt, Sr. and Gennett Schwab Hunt of Louisville, KY. He is survived by his sister, Mary (Lee) Schulz, of Bozeman, MT, nephew, Lee B. (Anouck) of Palo Alto, CA and niece, Lara (Chris) of Bozeman, MT, and their families. He also leaves behind thoughtful and caring long-time friends and extended family.
