Ah, but L-Tronics didn't go "poof". The founders and owners of the company got up in age and wanted to retire so they put the company up for sale. No serious buyers came forward so they closed down the company.
This all took place over the course of two to three years so it shouldn't have surprised anybody.

Sorry for bringing back an old post, but I have another question.

So once a member completes all the requirements for the SQTR for GTM-3 in e-Services, it goes ACTIVE (Green), it shows up on the Member's 101 Card and the Qualification drop-down from the Member(left) Menu, but the Ground Team Badge - Basic does not show up in the Training drop-down (which shows the member's awards) or the Activity/Service Ribbon drop-down from Member (Left) Menu.

So I guess what I'm asking is if someone needs to manually enter the badge in the appropriate award section for it to show up in e-Services or is the 101 Card it in way of award documentation (i.e. no certificate and/or other tracking in e-Services), and the member is go-to-go wearing the badge with GTM-3 on their 101 Card?

It is still required to "Award" the badge in OpsQuals.

Without knowing the actual code, I'd guess that if linking it to the "Active/Trainee/Expired/none" field would result in the badge going away if the member stops being "Active" Since it is a "permanent" award, a separate data field is needed.

That was my thinking as well, as CAPR 35-6 states: "Once a rating, award, badge, or patch is earned in accordance with this regulation, the member may continue to wear it even if they no longer hold the associated qualifications unless directed by the wing, region, or national commander to remove it through another formal command action."

It would have to be listed as an award somewhere to cover those previously awarded but currently unqualified.

So any recommendation as to who to contact to correct this?

To add your ground team badge or any other ES badges,  to your eService records....
From "menu" on the top left of eServices, choose "operations"  then "operations qualifications"
Next from the list pick "ratings and badges"
put in your CAPID
Put a check mark next to the rating, patch or badge you have earned and click submit at the bottom of the page.
Somebody will verify it and enter it into your records.

Don't forget, if you've earned the Basic GT Badge, you also qualify for the CAP Emergency Services Patch. So submit that one as well.

Okay, I will check that, I don't remember seeing it on the drop down.

BTW, can you wear the ES patch on the right sleeve of the blue flight jacket?

I normal wear the polo and grey tac-pants uniform for everything and the flight jacket is my winter coat.

On the Blue Flight Jacket....

Optional Breast Patch: Embroidered Emergency Services patch may be worn on the right breast
pocket or corresponding position.

Your ES Officer should be familiar with this

There are no breast pockets on the green or blue flight jacket and the only thing I thought you could wear on the right brest was the CAP Command Patch.

Nothing like OJT!  ;D

As ES, most of what you do is in Operations Qualifications> 101 Card and SQTR entries. With the occasional side trip to Awards & Badges.

Here's a quick tip: When you upload a document or certificate (like for First Aid) it is a two step process
1. Upload the document.
2. Go back to the SQTR and then in task enter the date and cert # if needed, then submit. That step gives you a completion for the task.

Otherwise, it won't be applied to the SQTR and you're still a "Trainee".
