Every BSA Council has one.

public relations director: Responsible for the development and implementation of the council public relations program.

Yes. Council, not unit.  There are, in fact ~253 of them.  A Scouting Area Council is conversationally similar in scope to a CAP Group., and many, if not all, Council Program Directors are PAID EMPLOYEES, including the PR people.

Sure Scout Units have people who use social and other media, but they do not have a mandated PR person, nor should they.

CAP could learn a LOT organizationally from Scouting.

Interesting, so you KNEW that the BSA has PR folks when you claimed they did not. Why the word games?

Of course it does. And the answer is over 200 of them do. And you knew it. Word games.

Do you understand the difference between a Scout Unit and A Local Area Council?

Area Councils are administrative echelons that do not participate, per se, in
Scouting, they have many paid employees who perform the bulk of the operations
during normal business hours.

They are not, in any way, comparable to a Scout Unit.

Well, it seems like the measuring competition is steaming ahead full speed, so it's time to go "all engines stop". It was showing such promise.
