Title: Eservices approval
Post by: GRANITE on May 04, 2022, 07:03:11 PM
I'm a flight sergeant in my squadron and I recently did a bunch of stuff with my cadets so they could all get checked off on MSA.

I went into Eservices to submit the stuff to our squadron commander for some of the more junior cadets but the box you have to click on each task isn't there.

Make sure everyone has GES - General Emergency Services - complete. This is required by regulations to be finished before you train for anything else.

Also make sure, after they have their GES that the box that asks whether the commander has given the authorization is checked off. Do this after receiving permission from your commander. What you are trying to do should have been handled by your squadron ES Officer.

If they have a Squadron ES Officer. You're not required to have one.

What was wrong with stating a reminder about an ES Officer? About the "not required to have one" is known. Just like other Officers, they are not required to have some.

Nothing wrong with it, but, I was just pointing out that the unit the cadet is in may not have an ES Officer.

We do not have any support officers in our squadron right now and my flight doesn't have a flight commander either. So I'm acting as a flight sergeant and commander and whatever support staff my cadets need in the moment."

First, make sure you're an authorized MSA skills evaluator. You won't be able to sign anyone off on these tasks unless you are one. Second, if you don't have the proper eServices permissions, this is something your squadron commander should be able to assist you with.

^ This.

Also, the cadets can enter your CAPID into the tasks, and it will generate approval
traffic.

This will also tell you immediately whether you are in the system properly as an SET.
