Title: Cadet Flight Training - Local Non-Academy
Post by: etodd on June 15, 2021, 07:46:13 PM
We hear lots about Cadet Flight Academy and National programs, but so little talk of strictly local Squadron training. I know there are lots being trained, but they don't get the publicity for some reason. Would be interesting to know the numbers.

Our Squadron took two Cadets through solo in the last year and progressing. I just started another one this week. He is motivated, and we'll fly (weather willing) twice a week. We might can get close to check ride about the first of the year.

Flying in a Class D airport with the C172/G1000, and using the ASA ground school package.

Any CFIs here in CAPTalk training Cadets locally? Would enjoy hearing how you are doing and progress stories.
