Well, once upon a time, my CAP dollars came from my job as an Administrative Assistant/Test Proctor for a company that provided the mental health services in a privately run state prison for women.  Philosophical differences brought about an end to that, sadly.

Unfortunately, that means that I've had to step down as Squadron CC as to find suitable employment, I have to move to the "big city."

They have big cities in New Mexico?  :D  Just messin, I can actually relate.  I would much rather be living East of the Chesapeake Bay here in MD, but the Washington, DC and Baltimore areas tend to offer a lot more job opportunities.

^^^ Yeah, Mexico City.  ;D >:D >:D >:D >:D  I kid, I kid.
One of the state's "unofficial" jokes deals with all the questions and comments regarding our "status" as a part of the US.  New Mexico Magazine even has a feature "One Of Our 50 Is Missing" with all the humorous stories.  It's all apart of living in the Land of Entrapment Enchantment (sorry).  ;D

Las Vegas New Mexico! There really is one!

Trivia time: The movie Red Dawn was filmed in and around that down.  Almost exclusively I think.

While serving a religious mission in NM, I always called it the "Land of Entrapment!"

Spent most of my time in the 4 corners area and south of Alb. A little on the "Rez."

It's not so bad though.

Thought about a job that would have funded CAP down there. (To get back on topic  >:D)

If he's already out there then he's ahead of me.  I'm at Lackland AFB in San Antonio going through the basic loadie course right now.  My reserve unit is also here at Lackland so this is where I'll stay after my schools are done.

...After several years as a hard-working Republican, I find myself with no job and no plans to get a job, dependent on checks from the government on the first of the month to pay my bills, and using a gun to get more money when I need it.

In other words, I have morphed into a Democrat!  Somebody pop me a cold 40-ounce Old English!

You didn't officially become one until you voted like one. Just saying.  ;D

Vote?

What... you think I want to risk getting called for jury duty?

The schoolhouse for C-5s is here at Lackland, so I'm not going to experience it.  I get stuck here for all of my training except SERE.   :'(
