Post by: Eclipse on September 19, 2019, 03:37:55 AM
Noticed this today after listening to a 99% Invisible podcast about Bethel.

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Bethel_Air_Force_Station
"Bethel Air Force Station (AAC ID: F-21) is a closed United States Air Force General Surveillance Radar station. It was located 402 miles (647 km) west of Anchorage, Alaska."

I also learned that San Diego shares this motto as well.

That motto appears frequently in achievements of arms for people with the last name of Wilson, especially those from Scotland. I have long suspected (but cannot prove) that Gill Robb Wilson had a hand in getting CAP to use it.
