Title: CAP IRS filing 990 question
Post by: Holding Pattern on March 25, 2017, 07:26:54 AM
Insomnia sucks. It makes you dig into things like IRS documents in hunt of sleep.

Reading the most recent IRS form 990 filed by CAP, when I got to the Part 8, line 1b is where membership dues are supposed to be.

That line is blank.

Am I misunderstanding what is supposed to go in that line, or shouldn't the answer to that be at least a couple million dollars?

Blast. The answer is literally on the next line.

I'll read the whole thing before I ask any more questions about it.

Units haven't filed 990s for a number of years. NHQ files forms that cover the whole organization.

Edit: The above is true, but you weren't asking about that, so there you go.

You must really be sleep deprived to care about something like this.

Personally, I think 14a is probably where the organizaiton will experience the most growth in FY17.

There is no 14a, there is a 16 a though

The 2016 IRS F990 is 12 pages long and contains at least two (2) "14a"s. I think the
second one is where CAP has the most growth potential.
