Aerial assets for firefighting (including UAVs)

A short article about wildfires and the aerial tools for fighting them. It mentions IR remote sensing to help find hotspots before they flare up and the use of UAVs. Funny they do talk about the difficulties of integrating UAVs in the crowded airspace above a large fire.

Hope that the CAPs Advanced Digital Reconnaissance System will bear fruit in this area and keep us viable.

BTW...I was just down at JRTC....on the ground and it sucked. :( The only UAV I saw flying for our rotation appeared to be the Shadow.
