OK - that's fine.  If you have something that works and people want it, so be it.

CAP as a whole, as well as the average member, needs mature products, especially if they will
be the same general cost as something proven which is already in the market.

A great test would be to deploy the equipment without anyone involved in developing the project and see how it goes. When people can use it without the experts around, you've got something going.
