Think you have what it takes to write great test questions? Here's your chance to author some test questions for CAP!

For those who believe that leadership shouldn't be boring, you can help author the Leadership Excellence (LEX) Activity Guide.

You can participate in the CAP Leadership Project and help create two deliverable leadership products that will complement CAP's new DRAFT leadership textbook, "Learn to Lead," that will be used by over 25,000 Civil Air Patrol members in their Cadet Programs worldwide.

Your leadership is needed to collaborate on the achievement tests and the activity guide for "Module One - Personal Leadership" of the new textbook.

To participate, start by completing the taskers located at www.CAPleadership.com.

All participants will need to download the DRAFT textbook, "Learn to Lead, Module One - Personal Leadership" at www.cap.gov/provinggrounds. This outstanding text is authored by Curt LaFond, Chief of Cadet Programs at CAP's National Headquarters. Please refer any questions or comments about the DRAFT textbook to Mr. LaFond.

We have a short suspense deadline as both products are due this summer. As an incentive, the Project Lead will pay you a small remuneration for your contributions (go to the web site for the rates).

Thanks for your leadership in CAP!

What's up monkeys?

Rob

That's $1 per test question published, so you could earn up to $300.

We are also offering $10, $15 or $20 for published LEX lessons, so you could also earn up to an additional $700.

Of course, if some of our members would rather give of their talents to this project without renumeration, they certainly can.

The main objective, of course, is to provide CAP with the best possible set of test questions and/or leadership activities to go along with the new DRAFT leadership book.

See the web site for details.

Any takers?

Don't worry Rob!  I'm onboard!  The money's not important.  Contributing is!

For those who don't want the money, you should offer some sort of letter acknowledging their contribution of services for that amount of money so that they can claim it for their taxes.  Seen it done for a local encyclopedia project.

Just saw this post--is the word getting out about this? How many people have participated so far?

Thanks to all who have expressed interest or participated in the test question writing portion of this project. This portion is now closed.

However, it's not too late to begin participating in the LEX portion of this project, so feel free to contribute and spread the word.

Visit www.CAPleadership.com for submission requirements and deadlines.

I'd be happy to give an acknowledgment letter to those who opt not to receive remuneration.

Rob

Thanks to all who have already responded! For those still completing their leadership activities, the deadline is fast approaching - 12 August. See www.capleadership.com for details (click the "LEX" link).

Sincerely, -Rob

Rob

Thank you to all who participated in this quick project! Because of your help, the draft test questions and LEX book will be a great success. Look for these products to come out when the new leadership textbooks are released.
