I've always admired the Navy.  I've always had fun with legos.  But never on this green Earth would I have considered doing this...

An amazing piece of work...and I concur, someone needs to get a life! LOL

That's an incredible accomplishment.  I would never have put the time, effort, or money into doing something like this, but I'm sure someone would say the same thing about some of the things I do. ;D

I had Lego's as a kid.  Everyone made fun of me for playing with them when I was 12 so out the door they went.  This guy needs to get a freaking life.  Unless he works for Lego.....he is in need of adjustment!

That's freaking awesome.

But here's my question, is there a little miniature Maverick throwing dog tags over the side? ;D

I wonder if he got any sponsorships from Lego.  And, I wonder how much he could sell it for!

BigMojo

That's pretty cool...although the scale model of Frankfurt Airport out of Legos at the original legoland in Denmark is pretty darn amazing too...wish I could find a picture from when I was there.

Is that someone (in red) falling off the side?  I know it's not a completely uncommon thing but wouldn't expect it to be a part of this.  And it looks like a couple people throwing another person overboard towards the left of the photo.

How'd he get working lights on the inside?

I hope this goes to the Lego museum in Denmark. I hope they reimburse him for this and sponsor his next venture, a full-scale mock-up of the NYWG Leadership Encampment at Stratton ANG, NY complete with Aeromed building, LC-130s, CAP cessnas, CAP vans, plywood huts and hopefully... dining hall with all the wonderful food.

Oh yeah... and cadets and staff members for kicks.

LEDs can be put virtually anywhere.
Fiber optics could have been used too.  I had model of a Star Destroyer that used 'em.
