Currently CAP.GOV displays the warning...

"Due to severe weather conditions at CAP HQ, if there are any interruptions in service they are most likely weather related.  Please check back later if you encounter any problems.  Thank you."

My question is, if Maxwell were destroyed by a tornado...are all the on-line records backed up?

Hi Y'all,

Actually, the NOC is at Maxwell.  The NTC is the "technical" heart of the Comm program, as all of the new equipment is received, processed and distributed from there.  Most comm equipment warrantee and factory maintenance is handled through the NTC as well.
They are also available as a back-up C & C facility for Maxwell as they do have a full HF/VHF/Internet capability and plenty of floor space.
The Internet servers at the NTC also contain the CEMS system, WMIRS, a fair percentage of the online testing and, as mentioned, a backup of all the data held at Maxwell.  (and yes, Maxwell in turn backs up the data from the NTC)

It is located at the DLA facility in Richmond, VA.  Check 'em out at: https://ntc.cap.af.mil/
