Title: Flight sergeant at encampment

Can you be a flight sergeant at encampment while an officer?

Its the discretion of the encampment commander, however it would be rare, since by design it's an NCO position.

On occasion cadet who promote to a pip very close to encampment still serve as First shirt and then pin on the
pips at graduation.

My basic year, we had a 2d Lt  as a flight assistant.

I'm reminded of the season 2 opener for Major Dad where the Major asks Lt Holowachuk if they remember picking on the Staff Secretary, aka the "staff weenie". The Lt laughs alongside the Major as they remember, then the Major deadpans that he is now the weenie.
