I don't see a GTM badge in your signature... What sort of experience do you have with GSAR?

The UCC(part of the scoring was based on if you set it up properly ::)), squadron Bivouac, and various drills with it...

Look at it, he has it tilted, plus the antenna are crooked...

And exactly none of that is incorrect.

You hold it to get the best signal strength, even if that means totally sideways, and the antennas aren't crooked enough to materially affect operation.

Looks pretty good to me.  Once you gain more experience with DF equipment, you will know what incorrect usage really looks like.

Emphasis mine.

That is NOT a front page, and the front page does NOT have CAP on it. Plust, that "news" article is from 11-08-11. Neither right before 2012, nor during/right after 2011.

CAP is the number 7 on the news feed on the front page of the EAA Airventure website.

And how can it be from November 8th? That's still a week and some change away....

And you're upset it was not DURING the airshow?

So...the word CAP is somewhere on a page (Silly me, I searched Civil Air Patrol), and that's supposed to be "Front page" coverage?

Sorry, not buying it.

You're going to stick to that now? So they don't even have a dating system, and I wasn't thinking too deeply about it, thinking about October.

Still doesn't change the fact that that's not any sort of coverage to speak of.

A link to an article on a front page isn't much of a mention for a "well appreciated" partner.

/out.

How about, oh maybe, the eleventh of August? Same numbers, different order, European style. Neither right nor wrong, merely different.

[edit] Looking at it again - it's probably (expanded) 2011 August 11. Naming files in this fashion enables simpler sorting schemes. The 11s do cause some initial ambiguity.

I checked their other articles. Some seem to be from 2012, some from 2004. Hence, no order.

The 11th of Aug is 8 days after CAP leaves the grounds...

I'm not sure why there is hate on this. This is good for CAP. We have not made EAA website coverage in a long time, and frankly CAP in other places (not Oshkosh) gets less coverage than this.

You all are angry CAP gets not EAA coverage, than upset it's a small article....  what a shame... You all cant be happy about SOME CAP coverage at all?

No one is upset.

You said we're "on the front page". A link on the side of the main page with "CAP" in it, isn't really coverage.

Is it a mention? Sure. Will it be seen by many? Probably not.
