Florida has the Freedom from Unwarranted Surveillance Act. One thing people may find interesting is the state law in Florida on using drones. It doesnt apply to CAP since its a volunteer organization and its SAR related, but it would be good to be familiar with it if you live there and operate there to know what LE is going by when they talk about drones or if you approach an LE agency about your wings program.

Curious: How do drone pilots figure PIC time, considering there is no HOBBS on a drone (or is there?)
Since the drone pilot is considered to be a pilot, is a drone tech considered to be air crew?

The flight software keeps track of the flight time.

In the draft CAPR 70-1U, sUAS Technician is not included in the definition of aircrew, nor does the draft task guide use the word crew in describing the duties of a technician. From the draft 70-1U:
9.1.4. All CAP sUAS operations must be conducted with a minimum of two persons, one of whom must be qualified to act as a sUAS PIC. The other personnel may act as sUAS Technicians or sUAS Trainees, as defined in Attachment 2. (Attachment 2 does not include sUAS Technican or sUAS Trainee in the definitions)
However, throughout the draft documents the use of "crew" certainly infers that a UAST is a crew member. I guess we'll have to let the experts explain the inconsistencies.
