This is on form 52-2, the form I need to send in to get the Mitchell award...

It is the cadet's responsibility to order the Phase III &
IV Cadet Packet (CAP Bookstore Catalog #48A), an
assortment of textbooks and publications needed to
continue in the Cadet Program. Send the request
with payment to:

CAPMart
30 S Arnold St, Bldg 848
Maxwell AFB AL 36112-6332

Orders: 800-633-8768
Customer Service: 888-834-1781

CAPMart is no more, so what do I do?  It also apperars that The Hock Shop took most of these book off their site.

According to the CAP National HQ's Cadet Programs Publications page (http://level2.cap.gov/index.cfm?nodeID=5685), the books are available from Vanguard.

Vanguard's website does not currently list any of these books, however Vanguard seems to have a knack of carrying a number of items which they forget to list on their website.  I would call the Vanguard toll free number and ask them about the items you need to order.  Remember to be very specific, with titles and everything, since Vanguard is still a newbie to the CAP world of things.

Good luck and let us know how it goes when it's all over with.  :)

Why are the books no longer on the Hock Shop, though?

Volume II of the Leadership 2000 and Beyond book is indeed available on The Hock as well.

You can pretty much get everything in electronic form for free if you are a cheap bastard though.

But what are the actual "assortment of textbooks and publications needed to
continue in the Cadet Program
?"

Try page 16 of the CAPR 52-16. As a senior cadet NCO, you should already have read this reg from cover to cover at least several times, and be broadly familiar with its entire contents.

I don't think I worded that right.  What I ment to ask was what books are/were included in the packet?

I'm no longer in a unit with cadets, so I have little clue any more. I'd guess that it might be the items directly related to Phase III from the list in the 52-16.

From the 2005 CAP Mart catalog:

0048A PHASE III & IV PACKET
Phase 3 & phase 4 packets for Cadets. Study material for the next two
phases after the Cadet packet. Contains The Journey of Flight book, and
Leadership 2000 guides 2 & 3.

The Aerospace book isn't on the Hock, though.  It's listed under their price list for mail orders, but it isn't on their online store.  I sent Tom two email and he hasn't responded after amost two weeks.

Download the .pdf's and save them on a CD.  Only print what you really have to.
