Does anyone know what the current turnaround time is for a new cadet to receive their FCU?

Earlier this year we had a cadet who got her FCU issue within a month or so of her application being processed.  I do not know if this is still the case.

With the current funding problems of the USAF, how is the USAF funding these uniforms for the cadets?

Though they are restructuring to "rightsize" the force based on their current perceived mission,  USAF funding issues would not impact our program at this stage.

In fact congress just signed an appropriations bill which granted us $6m for new airplanes.

The bigest issue this time of year is that the 2005 uniform budget is likely exhausted or nearly so, that's a fixed dollar amount which isn't effected directly by USAF funding problems (though CAP did pay a war tax like everyone else)

Couple that with the fact that in December many people take time off for the holidays which delays everything in the universe, including CAP stuff.

It coincides with the federal fiscal year - 1 Oct - 30 Sep. Funding doesn't usually start geting scarce until July or August.
