I strapped on the butter bars last night. Feels good not to be an absolute newbie anymore.

If you polish real hard for about a year you can get that yellow tarnish off ;) . Congrats. Wasn't that long ago that I was there.

Well if you tack on the month or so it took national to file my paperwork while I was active, then it actually has been about seven months. It's a shame they don't make your official join date the day you actually turn in your application and attend meetings, since I don't know many squadrons that would make someone stay at home if they want to be active.

Just be sure to work out of the LPA, it has been proven to cause stagnation and a lack of desire to continue CAP PD.

I also labeled myself with more pride now, as I just crossed over from SMWOG to 2Lt. :)

Level I  - Completed
Level II achievements to date - Communications Officer (tech), IT Officer (tech) and Web Security Admin Officer, Officer Basic Course ......(still need to attend SLS to finish my Level II).

Long road still ahead, but a very fun and gratifying one!
