What are the rules about using CAP in works of Fiction?
Every 20 or so pages, the reader must be reminded that CAP sunk a lot of...er....some...one...maybe...U-boat and that every year CAP saves thousands of lives with its world class professional SAR capability.
Have never seen any regs dealing with it. I'm guessing it'd be viewed like any other corporate entity in terms of how they want their public image protected.
I would write up a concept document about what the project is, and what you intend to portray the Corp and ask National to sign off on it.

You mean, like "First in your class at Civil Air Patrol...?"
best to ask CAP Captain Dale Brown, he's used CAP or referenced it in all his books over the last 7-10 years

Had they said, first in your class at a Civil Air Patrol Flight Academy, maybe. At least we got a nod, and maybe one of two film goers will wind up at gocivilairpatrol.com as a result?

What, to learn how to fly drugs? I kind of see it as in the same "fame" category as Cadet Oswald.
