Title: Pilot Manual from WWII
Post by: Afbrat52 on November 14, 2014, 04:55:27 PM
Hi all,

This is my first post on CAPtalk, and I hope its a good one. So here it goes: I recently purchased a Civil Pilot Training Manual, from September of 1941. (Civil Aeronautics Board Bulletin 23) I thought that, as it was from about the right time period, this could have been the manual that new pilots would have trained with to be a pilot in CAP. Any thoughts?

Thanks,

C/Amn Aidan F.

To get a pilot rating in general. The CAB was the regulatory agency of the era, with the NTSB and FAA of today, combined.

Interesting piece of history.  I would love to see it.  I still have my training handbook from the 60s and even it is kind of interesting to look back on.
