Found these while cleaning part of my office. The first one is my first Commanders Commendation from April 2002. It was presented by Lt. Col. Mike Lorenz GP4 Commander at that time. Great person to work with.

Second photo is Jim Rogers from Procter and Gamble (my employeer) presenting my Squadron a check for $1500 that I got as a grant.

In keeping with the original thread of showing ourselves in other activities besides CAP...

Here I am with the BBQ team I'm on...the Bluff City Sweet Loins...after winning Grand Champion at the 2008 Cowboy Cookoff in Sikeston, MO this August.

This hobby is one of the reasons I can't wear Blues right now ;)

I'm the good-looking guy on the right end.

What a great name for a BBQ team!

BTW, If I ever find myself in your AO, I'm inviting myself over for dinner.  :)

Thanks.  The team has been together for 11 years now. The "Bluff City" part comes from our sponsor, "Bluff City Beer Miller Distributors", whose owner is one of the members of the team and a fraternity brother of mine.  The "Sweet Loins" was decided on about 8 years ago.  "Nothing Wrong With A Pig In A Thong" came from a night of *ahem* celebration about 5 years ago.  I was introduced to the team by my oldest brother who is a founding member of the team (he's third from the left end in the pic). I've been with the team for about 5 years now...and was "initiated" into the team 3 years ago and now a full team member. My specialty is Boston Butt.

Our three major competitions are the Redneck BBQ Festival in late April/early May & the Cowboy Cookoff which coincides with the JC Bootheel Rodeo in August (both in Sikeston, MO), and the Cape BBQ Fest in early September (In Cape Girardeau, MO).  We travel some to other competitions but with work and all it is a bit hard at times.  We just do it for fun.  Some of them guys out there though are hard core...and we still beat 'em. LOL

Come visit during the competitions...we'll make sure your uniform gets a bit tight. :)
